Terms & Conditions

  • When booking, you will be asked questions to determine the length of your appointment, however, all timings are approximate.
  • Prices are based on the time taken to groom a well behaved dog who is regularly groomed with a coat in good condition.
  • Please supply a current phone number as reminder texts will be sent a day or two before your appointment is due.
  • Please ensure you arrive in time for your appointment. Arrival more than 15 minutes late may result in appointment cancellation and a charge being incurred.
  • A £20 deposit is required for all bookings and this will be held in the case of a missed appointment.
  • I respectfully request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your dogs appointment so I am able to offer the slot to other clients. Late cancellations shall also forfeit the £20 deposit.
  • Prestbury Paws reserves the right to refuse to groom any dog showing aggressive behaviour.
  • In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act of 2006, in the case of a severely matted coat, Prestbury Paws reserves the right to perform a complete clip off of the dogs coat. If a complete clip off needs to be performed, Prestbury Paws will try to notify you in advance. However if you cannot be reached and in our professional opinion a complete clip off is necessary, then we will undertake to continue with the clip off and accept no responsibility for the style being unapproved. Nor will we be held responsible for any reactions such as clipper rash. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the dog doesn’t lick or scratch any short areas thereby causing irritation.
  • Severely matted dogs will incur an extra charge for dematting and/or clipping off the coat. I will only de-matt for a maximum of 30 minutes to avoid stress to your dog and a charge of £5 per 5 minutes will be made to cover time, equipment and expertise.
  • Prestbury Paws reserves the right to refuse to clip off any dog that we deem too severely matted to safely carry out a clip off and we will advise to seek veterinary assistance.

  • Prestbury Paws will not be held responsible for any irritation, patchiness, abrasions or hair loss that may occur due to the grooming process.
  • If you fail to disclose any information about physical or medical conditions (e.g epilepsy, hip dysplasia) Prestbury Paws will not be held responsible for any injury incurred during the grooming process.
  • Prestbury Paws will not subject any dog to unacceptable levels of stress. During the grooming process, if your dog finds any part too stressful then that part will not be completed and if the groom cannot be completed then a price reduction may be made.
  • If your dog is found to have fleas/ticks or other parasite during the groom then appropriate shampoo will be used. A £10 surcharge will be made to cover extra cleaning and hygiene costs incurred.
  • An approximate collection time will be agreed when you leave your dog. However you will be contacted when your dog is ready to collect. Please don’t arrive early as this can cause stress to both dog and groomer. Please let me know if you are going to be late. Failure to do so may incur a holding fee.
